PNG. If you attempt to diagnose the steering fault then you will find that when you attempt to read fault codes or live data from the steering column, it will not communicate at all with the power steering system. If i leave the car for a day or so it works again and the light goes out.

I have a 2003 bmw z4 the steering is sticking and i have read a lot of the same complants.can you tell me if its in the rack and pinion or steering. The power steering light keeps coming on and power steering is lost (not much fun). Power steering works fine when first started, i can turn the wheels standing still with a finger but by the time i get to work it is very difficult to park.
