There are 8 spark plugs, the 4 in the front are very easy to get to, the ones in the back. Putting a steel/ferrous spark plug into an aluminum cylinder head present a possibility of seizure. I thought i would post a short how to for those that would like to save some money when it comes time.
How do you get to those plugs?
I'm up to 109000 miles now. On models with direct ignition systems, bmw recommends 100,000 miles before changing the spark plugs. Changing spark plugs on a 2015 overland with the 3.6l v6. I notice the spark plug on the firewall side of the engine had an intake on top of the spark plugs.
